According to FA registered intermediary Paul O’Keefe, Tosin Adarabioyo has already turned down a contract offer from Tottenham Hotspur.
In the last couple of weeks, Marco Silva’s Fulham have left Adarabioyo out of the squad with the defender planning to leave the Cottagers on a free transfer at the end of this season when his deal at Craven Cottage runs out.
It had been suggested that Spurs were the frontrunners for the former Manchester City centre-back but they will need to make an improved offer in order to sign him.
The likes of AC Milan, Chelsea and Newcastle United have all been heavily interested in the 26-year-old, who has not necessarily always been a guaranteed starter for Fulham during their time back in the top-flight. Newcastle, though, appear to have prioritised Lloyd Kelly as a signing for this summer.
Adarabioyo came through the academy at Manchester City before impressive loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers. He eventually joined Fulham on a permanent basis in 2020.
Internationally, he has represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level but remains eligible to play for Nigeria. He turned down a call-up to Nigeria in the past but did express a desire to play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for either England or Nigeria, albeit the Super Eagles failed to qualify in the end.
