Leicester edge past West Brom to move back top

Leicester City reclaimed the top spot in the Championship following a thrilling Midlands derby 2-1 win against West Brom at the King Power Stadium.

The Baggies had a strong start, but they failed to score their early opportunities, with Hamza Choudhury making a crucial goal-line clearance to deny Mikey Johnston.

The hosts went ahead against the flow of the game as Jamie Vardy connected with Wout Faes's cross, leading to a save by Alex Palmer that allowed Wilfred Ndidi to slot home the rebound.

A penalty for Leicester before half-time saw Vardy strike the post, squandering a chance to double their lead.

In the second half, the visitors kept fighting to score but were thwarted by Choudhury's two remarkable goal-line clearances, and Cédric Kipré's shot hitting the bar from a resulting corner.

Despite West Brom's pressure, Enzo Maresca's men managed to extend their lead in the 65th minute, with Abdul Fatawu delivering a superb cross met by Vardy's powerful header.

Just when it seemed Leicester had sealed the win, a precise pass from Kipré set up Jed Wallace, who halved the deficit with 15 minutesto play.

The Foxes held firm in the tense final moments to secure a crucial victory, that sends them two points clear of Ipswich Town at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, West Brom remains one point ahead of sixth-placed Norwich, albeit having played an extra game.

Wow, what a game! Leicester City are back on top and we can't be happier! The team showed great determination and the win against West Brom was well-deserved. Kudos to Choudhury for his amazing goal-line clearances, and Ndidi for scoring the crucial goal. Vardy may have missed a penalty, but we can't deny his contribution to the team. Come on Leicester!

As a football fan, I am absolutely thrilled that Leicester City has reclaimed the top spot in the Championship with their 2-1 win against West Brom. It was a nail-biting game, with both teams playing their hearts out. Hamza Choudhury's goal-line clearance was crucial in keeping the Baggies from scoring, and Jamie Vardy's goal was a thing of beauty. Though he missed a penalty, it was still a fantastic performance from the team. The second half
