Liverpool are back to winning ways after a 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
The Reds asserted their dominance early on, having the clearest opportunities in the game.
A cross from Mohamed Salah, delivered with the outside of his boot near the right touchline, struck the crossbar before Harvey Elliott's follow-up was blocked on the line.
Salah eventually broke the deadlock after 15 minutes, nodding in at the back post from a Cody Gakpo delivery, deservedly giving the hosts the lead.
As the first half progressed, the match opened up and Andy Robertson doubled Liverpool's lead, tapping in from close range after Salah's shot was parried away by the Spurs goalkeeper.
In the second half, Liverpool remained relentless and Gakpo extended the lead in the 50th minute with a well-placed finish from Elliott's cross.
Elliott added a fourth with sublime curler from distance, leaving Vicario helpless.
Jurgen Klopp's side dropped the tempo afterwards and Spurs managed a late response with goals from Richarlison and Son.
However, the Reds held firm in the final minutes to secure the win.
With this result, Liverpool remain third, while Spurs failed to capitalise on Aston Villa's defeat at Brighton earlier today.
The north London side will remain in fifth place, trailing Unai Emery's side by seven points as their Champions League hopes now seem almost impossible.
