Everton claimed a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Goodison Park, with Abdoulaye Doucoure's goal and a late strike from academy graduate Lewis Dobbin securing the win.
In the early stages, both teams exchanged attacks, but the visitors appeared more threatening.
Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer had two good chances for the London side, but both efforts were well saved by Jordan Pickford while Everton's Jack Harrison came close with an acrobatic volley.
After half-time, the Toffees took the lead in the 54th minute, following a failed Chelsea attack, Dwight McNeil exploited the space in the left wing, and delivered a lovely ball to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Although Robert Sanchez initially saved Calvert-Lewin's shot, Doucoure capitalised on the rebound, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.
Chelsea's efforts in the second half failed to create quality chances, and instead of an equaliser, Sean Dyche's men extended their lead.
In the seventh minute of added time, a corner fell to youngster Lewis Dobbin, who scored brilliantly, injecting fresh energy into Everton's season and handing Chelsea and Pochettino another disappointing result.
Despite a 10-point deduction, Everton is now four points clear of the relegation zone, while Chelsea sit in 12th place, intensifying the pressure on manager Mauricio Pochettino.
