        Chelsea man suffers further injury setback

        Roméo Lavia will not return until next season

        Roméo Lavia's season is officially over after Chelsea announced that the midfielder suffered a further injury setback.

        Lavia originally joined the Blues from Southampton for £58 million last summer but has had his season thwarted by injury.

        The midfielder has played just 32 minutes of football this season – a second-half cameo in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace back in December.

        But a hamstring injury has meant that the 20-year-old has not been on the pitch since and fans will not get a glimpse of him now until the 2024/25 season due to a 'setback in his recovery' according to the club.

        Devastating news, really hope the injury isn't too serious and that he comes back stronger next season! Sending positive thoughts to Roméo and wishing him a speedy recovery!

        Such a shame to see Lavia's season cut short by injury, especially after such a promising start. Wishing him all the best in his recovery and hoping to see him back on the pitch soon.

        Sad to hear that Lavia's season is over due to another injury setback. Was excited to see him play for Chelsea but unfortunately it won't happen until 2024/25. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
