It's been a tough campaign in League One for Reading this season, but an end to their off-field turmoil is in sight and they have certainly found their shooting boots thus far in 2024.
The Royals started the season with a four-point deduction for failing to pay their players on time, and they were docked a further two points in February for not settling debts within an 80-day limit imposed by the EFL.
However, Reading's current owner Dai Yongge has confirmed plans for a takeover and the Royals are currently six points clear of the relegation zone despite their deductions.
Although their form is mixed - they have won four, drawn one and lost five of their past 10 games in L1 - the Berkshire club have developed a handy knack of finding the net regularly and Rubén Sellés side are currently on a 16-game streak in which they have scored in every game.
Tyler Bindon's 83rd minute equaliser at home in a 1-1 draw with Lincoln last weekend kept their run going and, incredibly, Reading (17) have scored in more league games in 2024 than any other team in 'The 92' - Wigan Athletic the only team capable of shutting out the Royals since the turn of the year.
Interestingly, Reading travel to Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night with The Gas' form currently the polar opposite. Rovers have failed to score in their past six League One games and have gone a whopping 600 minutes without netting a league goal!
