Rep. of Ireland and Belgium drew 0-0 in a scoreless match on Saturday, in a match relating of the National Team Friendlies . Both John O’Shea's team and Domenico Tedesco's team played their first game in the competition. In the starting XI there was Caoimhin Kelleher, Seamus Coleman, Dara O’Shea, Andrew Omobamidele, Nathan Collins, Josh Cullen, Sammie Szmodics, Will Smallbone, Robbie Brady, Chiedozie Ogbene, Evan Ferguson, Matz Sels, Timothy Castagne, Wout Faes, Youri Tielemans and Leandro Trossard.
After 28 minutes, Evan Ferguson had a golden opportunity on his feet to score but missed a penalty. The first-half ended without any goals.
The second half was not much different from the first, with the match coming to an end with no goals.
In relation to forthcoming league matches, Rep. of Ireland will host Switzerland, whilst Belgium visit England.
